Overview

The Post-Doctoral Fellowship program at Centered Therapy Chicago accepts graduates of Psy.D. or Ph.D. programs into our 12+ month full-time training experience. We have welcomed past post-doctoral fellows to join our staff once licensed.

We emphasize training in relational, feminist, trauma-informed and bodyoriented approaches. The training program is designed to support postdocs in refining and deepening their clinical skills while also expanding their skillset by engaging in administrative, training, and supervisory responsibilities. Trainees have the opportunity to be immersed in a supportive, nurturing, introspective, and intellectually challenging environment that provides an important foundation for their future professional life. Our staff possess a wide variety of clinical interests and theoretical orientations, and are deeply committed to providing an enriching and comprehensive clinical experience for our trainees.

Our main training goal is to support the deepening of foundational skills while also fortifying their capacity as intentional, reflective, introspective, professional, and ethical psychologists.

Fellows are invited to participate in a variety of training, supervisory, and structured learning opportunities. Our postdocs receive weekly relational supervision provided by Licensed Clinical Psychologists, ensuring personal and professional growth.

Postdoctoral Fellows receive clinical training and supervision in accordance with the standards set forth by the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct. The Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct can be found at https://www.apa.org/ethics/code/.
